Apologies if I've misunderstood the info from the personal.ini (or missed it searching this thread), but is there a setting to include the author notes from royalroad?

I tried adding:

www.royalroad.com
include_author_notes:true

Unsurprisingly this did not work 🤣

Does anyone have a list of the subject tags for harrypotterfanfiction? I'm having trouble pulling in all of the data.

Additionally (and maybe related) the story summaries aren't downloading.

If you post a couple story URLs that show author notes as a site feature (not an author convention), I'll look into it.

i.e., include_subject_tags:,genre,category,characters,st atus,dateupdated

I can't figure out the name I need to get the pairings data.

adapter_harrypotterfanfictioncom wasn't collecting ships (aka pairings) data. Not sure why--it's possible it did have them at the time or the examples I was given just didn't have any.

adapter_harrypotterfanfictioncom wasn't collecting a story description. The code looks like it once did, but it was commented out.

I don't see descriptions for the two story URLs given... Oh, there it is in the author page. Encoded rather strangely... Well, it's not the oddest thing we've done.

I installed 3.60 this afternoon, and I noticed that it takes about 30 minutes to update a single book, when that same morning on 3.50, it took about 5 minutes for 7 books to be updated, I reverted back to 3.50 and will edit if that changed anything.

Edit 1:
So, 3.50 worked in 2 minutes, 6 books, which is about what it was before

BUT, when I was working on 3.6, it was downlading 11 books, and when I checked the log, 5 books were correct, 6 came from nowhere.....
?????

@alexeric123,

The differences between 3.5.0 and 3.6.0 are fairly small, only effecting specific sites and the CLI.

Without knowing what site(s) and stories you tried, I can only assume that you're seeing something outside of the update--differences in story length, network conditions, site throttling, etc, etc.

so if the websites dont change, previous versions of fff will work right?

Without details such as story URLs to check or even the site that you're having problems with, all I can suggest to you is the usual restart(calibre)-reinstall(plugin)-reboot(OS) dance.

And yes, FanFicFare is purely a client application. Prior versions are available in the github repo.

Yeah, I know it sounds stupid, but I don't know how else to explain it.
I tested both 3.5 and 3.6 multiple times, and it was 100% consistent that only 3.6 had this problem.

Well, at least the 3.5 works.

If there ever is a time where it stops working, I'll upload a video to youtube showing my problem, because I know I'm bad at explaining stuff.
