Just got a notify for new version, viz:
It's the 25th here - I guess the notify could have been sitting there for 3 days, but... not convinced, 1 day maybe but 3 - doesn't sound like me. As is my habit, before installing it I clicked the Plugin Home page link to see what I was letting myself in for and I see this, viz: I confess to being pedantic about dates, and disapproving of 'systems' that record the same data twice. I made the changes on Jan 7, did not release it until I got to test it enough. When I released couple of days ago, I forgot to change the date in the changelog, which I copy pasted into the corresponding part of opening post.

In case there are any more pendants hanging about I suggest you change version history in first post to Jan 22 or thereabouts - a 3 week discrepancy is rather a lot to explain away as mere spin drift

Out of a perhaps morbid curiosity, did you test your patch to see if it broke Find Duplicates in newer versions of calibre? |

This indeed is a bug that happens only on Windows. I it was not caught since I never tested on Windows. It also means this feature (export duplicates) is only used by me. thanks for reporting. All the issues above should be fixed in the test version attached. Edit: attachment released (moved to first post). Last edited by capink; 02-13-2021 at 12:47 AM. Reason: remove attached beta |

GUI window size on my tablet
Hello,
I tried using the "Find Duplicates" tool but the tool window doesn't fit on my screen and isn't adjusting the height. The result is I can't reach the "Ok" button. My info: Hardware: Surface Go OS: Windows 10 latest as of 3/9/2021 Screen display setting: 150% (My usual setting is 175% which for most of my activities but I did try it at the Windows Recommended size) Screen Resolution: 1800 x 1200 (Windows Recommended) Calibre 5.13 Look & Feel Interface Font: Segoe UI [9pt] I just installed "Find Duplicate" tonight so it should be the latest. Behavior: The window has the size adjustment arrows on it but the height sizing does nothing but move the window down on the screen. I can expand the window horizontally, but not height. I tried "PgDn" on the tool window but that nothing happened. Workaround: I set my screen display to 125%. So while I can now see the whole window easily everything else is microsopic. Desired outcome: If there's an easy fix without shrinking my fonts or increasing my resolution, great!! Otherwise, I don't use it often, so it's no biggie. Thanks! Try using the keyboard tools: Alt+space, M will give you the move tool, and Alt+space, S will give you the size tool.
You should be able to move the top edge into view, and reduce window height from the top edge, then move the top edge up the screen until you can see the bottom edge. Once you have all edges visible you should be able to adjust size with the mouse. BR |
