The scripts I've been able to find (without looking very hard, though) all expect to run on Windows. Does anyone have a nicely packaged up set of scripts that run on Mac OS X? Hints would be very welcome. Xenophon P.S. I remember some discussion about this long ago in this thread. I'm being lazy and asking for help because I have a paper deadline in under a week, and have no time to be more proactive. Sigh. |

So I finally got around to using these files and I have a bright shiny new .DER file waiting on me to find something to test it with! Can anyone recommend a free or very low cast epub WITH DRM so I can test this? I saw a few pages back about one at BoB? But I haven't actually created an account there yet...are there any other sites with a free DRM'd epub? Are the sample files on Adobe's site DRM'd?

I must have been overlooking them at FW. Went ahead and created an account at BoB - what's one more login to keep track of in RoboForm...already have hundreds!

My library just started listing Adobe epub. But my script no longer works to get them on my kindle. It says it has decrypted, but when I try to convert it to mobi, it fails. Any ideas?

Never Mind. Mobi doesn't read them, but Calibre converted great.

Have the scripts disappeared? I know I saw them awhile ago, but when I went back today to copy them I could not find them. |

I'm clearly missing something here, and now I see a book I'd love to have in epub, but I won't buy it unless I can figure out this script! Perhaps one of you kind people here can help me! Again. I've got my key, and I've got the ineptepub script up and running so that the box comes up asking for the input and output files. This is where I run into trouble. I downloaded a free chapter of a book called HOT, so it reads as hot.epub in the My Digital Editions folder of My Documents. My script and my key are in python26, where all my other little scripts are. When I specified hot.epub as the input file I got "Specified input directory does not exist". Then I moved a copy of hot.epub to the python26 folder (and press the key) and now the box just sits there doing nothing. Perhaps I should have things in different folder? I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I think I am so close to getting this!! |
