Jetbook Maxi = An 8.5x11" Mirasol with optical touchscreen?

We've had the Jetbook, the Jetbook Lite, and the Jetbook-Mini; Why not a
Jetbook Maxi?

Something for the Academic and Corporate Markets. If they can make them
cheap enough also for the Magazine or Journal Markets.

It would be low power consuming, color, large enough, and include a means
of highlighting and note taking.

They could make a deluxe model with "Wi-Fi Peer to Peer" and a light weight
browser.

So... An 8.5x11" Mirasol with optical touchscreen, for next Christmas, anyone?
(It's too late for this Christmas.)

Luck;
Ken

Six months ago I would have said a resounding yes and snapped one up. Now I think Ectaco would be too late with too little and has missed the boat. The Mini is going to position them as an even cheaper and lower end product than the current reviews due to the price point combined with the crappy format support and the screen contrast/color (green vs. white BG) vs. e-ink Perl. Plus saying 'get Calibre' is also a -really- cheap move which disgusts me as far as company ethics go. Harware-wise, I don't think it would have been hard to get a large B&W reflective LCD produced (maybe I'm wrong here) which could be waiting for a PixelQi or Mirasol to slap into the existing hardware for a bleeding edge first to market color version.

Their marketing department has its head in the wrong place. No confidence at this point in Ecato :P.
