Convert college e-books to K3 (small edition)?
I can print the books to PDF and view them natively on the K3 but they're really tiny. I tried zoom and pan but that's tedious (my wife will be using it and it's got to be simpler than using a remote control
![]() Thanks! |

Welcome to MobileRead, Charade.
If this is what you bought the K3 for, you really need to return it and upgrade to the DX. My SIL uses his for textbook PDF's and they read beautifully. Unfortunately, the K3 really isn't suited for pdf reading, regardless of what is said. Last edited by desertgrandma; 09-27-2010 at 05:41 PM. |

Welcome to MR! For PDFs, have a look at the Kindle DX, the Pocketbook 902 or 903, the Entourage Edge or perhaps an iRex product or the 9 inch Pixelar m-reader. If you don't mind a non e-ink screen, there is always the iPad to consider. If you really want a 6 inch screen, take a look at the Sony PRS-650. I don't think that you will be happy with the Kindle 3 if you plan on using it mostly for scanned PDFs.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm not sure if we want to spend a couple of hundred bucks for a larger reader. I will let her try it as it is and see what she thinks.
