So, we have this Electronic Medical Record that officially makes us a "paperless office." So, when I have to do all the mind numbing bureaucratic crap, do I continue to call it "paperwork?" Or is there a newspeak way of referring to it?

I'd like to think you've answered your own question. Call it MNBC (Mind Numbing Bureaucratic Crap).

It also sounds vaguely official; "Sorry, can't look at that now, got to catch up on the MNBC" stated over your shoulder as you scurry away would work, surely.

I think that paperwork will still be called paperwork, no matter what form it takes. Just like a mailman is still a mailman instead of a mailperson. Some words just transcend their reality.

Anything that confuses or infuriates or inexplicably amuses me, or is just in need of a noun, I call "Adrian" (eg. limping scrub turkeys are called "Adrian). So, you can call it "Adrian". Of course, you might want to verb it somehow, because there could be some confusion if someone asks what you're doing and you say "I'm doing Adrian". How about "the Froog"? That way people might think you're dancing when you tell them "I'm doing the Froog", and you might even convince yourself. Froog like no-one's watching.

I rather like the idea of telling my coworkers that I'm busy doing Adrian. That just sounds so right to me.
