650 Tuff Luv Case

Just received in the post my new Tuff Luv case for the PRS-650.

Its the 'flip style' one in black leather and I like it a lot so far. They have got rid of the white contrast stitching (which never bothered me, but I know other people really disliked it) and the front is very plain now (just a small embossed 'Tuff Luv' near the bottom of the case). The only other differences I have noticed so far are the presence of three SD card holders as opposed to two and the addition of a little flip over leather strap at the top, secured with velcro, to ensure that the reader can't fall out. Not sure that's entirely necessary though as it seems to be a very snug fit.

Link to it on Amazon

I ordered this a couple of weeks ago and I'm pleasantly surprised to see it here already as it's still showing as not in stock for 4 days on the i-nique website.

I just looked at it at Amazon -- quite nice, especially with its own stand! They showed a Tree of Life embossed design on the cover, which was actually rather kewl! Were I an extravagant fellow I'd consider getting it as a second cover for when I know I'll be in situations where having the stand would be a plus.

Mine's the one without the Tree of Life on it - I'm a minimalist

The stand is what I like, I find it comes in very handy when I'm eating and especially on planes.

I've edited my OP to give the Amazon link.

It seems i-nique is faster than M-Edge
Which one is it? Is it heavy? Does the flip seem sturdy enough? I've heard complaints that there was cardboard inside the 600s' models' flips.

I've added the link to Amazon to my OP now so you can take a look. It says on there that it's a computer generated view of what the case will look like, but I can tell you that it looks identicasl to the one I have received.

It's not particularly heavy IMO and the flip seems fine. I'm not sure if it's cardboard in the flip (and I'm certainly not going to cut it open to look ) but it seems pretty sturdy to me. I owned and used a Tuff Luv flip case for my 505 for about 18 months and never had any problems with it.

I had the cover for 505 for 2 weeks and sent it back. I preferred to use 505 without any cover than tuff luv.
In 505 it covered all side numbers, so if you wanted to go to a certain page, you could not (you could press buttons, you just didn't see the numbers). The strap that held the cover closed annoyed the hell out of me. Access to buttons at the bottom was not "natural" b/c you had thick cover ridge less than 1mm away from the buttons.
Purchasing the cover was a big mistake on my part.

Looks fine to me -- only quibble I have with it would be the small closure tab at the top, which though necessary strikes me as slightly intrusive (distracting?). Though what do you mean by "three SD card holders", Bilbo?

"three SD card holders" = 3 little pockets on the case that will take SD cards!!!

I don't see those on any of the pictures was why I seemed confused. Apparently, they are the manufacturers of the case for my Cowon D2 audio/video player as well, which is working out quite well for me.

Yep, exactly what elcreative said - they're on the bottom of the inside front.

The small closure tab really doesn't seem to be an issue for me. I don't find it distracting at all.

I had the 505 Tuff Luv cover (still have, come to that), never had any issues with it at all. Horses for courses I guess.

If I hadn't splashed out for an Oberon journal cover already, this would be a fine alternative.
