Just got my K3!
After much anticipation, I finally received my K3 wifi.
Initial Impressions: Just love the size of it, the lightness and the screen. The controls are intuitive and downloads are smooth. Love the dictionary as you read feature. I used Calibre to convert some of my epubs to mobi and everything seems great so far. Chapters work, TOC works, fonts are nice. Like many people have mentioned, things fall down a little with PDFs, for the heck of it, I uploaded O'reilley's Object Oriented Perl programming book and indeed, the font is very small (and you cannot change the size), but not unreadable, the flow charts are also quite grainy/small. Zoom is rather useless for page to page reading. There were no chapters, so you have to turn a lot of pages. This was my first PDF upload so I am going to try come converting to mobi and uploading some text-only PDFs to see how they look. So far, very excited! mj |

Just got ours this morning as well - already loaded up my wife's novels to see what they're like - mostly pleased with the formatting.
The size/lightness is great. I can only hope maybe on the next incarnation there's inductive-charging and wireless-USB as well (so I don't have to keep plugging it in). Wifi works great here and I was impressed with the web surfing considering the nature of the device. Paul |

Yes, having native SSH would be really nice - fantastic how it runs Linux - really pleased to see more commercial vendors using it.

Since this one is my wife's I don't think I'll dare hack it or do anything... she's only had it for 12 hours but already I can see the claws of ownership rooting in.

is it possible to root the new firmware? I really want to nerf those big brother features.
