iLiad how to upgrade after 2.9?

Hi, i searched the forum but could not find a satisfying answer. I have an iliad and i can't update furder than 2.9. Somwhere i sow that it needed to go to Irex to go furder on. Is this correct? am i stuck with 2.9? I hope not.

I also can't get my MAC adress in for de dev package.

Theoretically, iDS should update you to 2.12.1, however I don't know the current state of iDS since the Bankruptcy. It's possible that something on it is no longer working correctly and there's nobody available to support it.

Just a thought, but 2.10 is the version that introduced Mobipocket, correct?

Is it possible that with the Bankruptcy, they lost their license to distribute the Mobipocket software, and the new company is not legally allowed to distribute anything after 2.9?

Before iRex went bankrupt, iLiad users can download CF-flash-content of FW2.10 from iRex site. I don't know if it's still available now.
