Here is another.... it has a pretty good navigation system...and it's also free of course....oh, the download link is in the first post....

If you want to spend money Zondervan makes a NIV in epub format that will work on your (and most) readers. They sell it on their site....

Hi! Are you looking for a specific version?

I just purchased the NKJV from Sony's ebookstore. They have KJV, ESV, NRSV Catholic editions, ASV, NIV, NLT and some One Year versions. They have a pretty good selection, if you do a store search on "Holy Bible".

I did get my KJV from our selection of MobileRead free ebooks. I have the Sony 700 with touchscreen, so I don't really know how if there'd be any difference on the 300.

Sherman has uploaded a very well formatted ePub of the KJV to this site.

Good point about the Sony store rebarnmom.... As a Catholic I was pleased they had the Douay-Rheims bible, which is sort of the KJV of Catholics (even though it pre-dates the KJV). They do not have (unfortunately) the New American Bible which is the current version of the American church.

Anyway, lots of choices... free and paid

I am so wishfully (or should I say prayerfully) looking forward to something the handhelds have through Olive Tree or Packard Technologies, for example... large biblical library collections with fully integrated, cross referenced links, but I don't think it'll happen until dedicated ebook devices have color eInk displays. I do continue to pester them (Olive Tree and Packard) from time to time.

I just converted a bunch of bibles from the unbound bible to epub format, you can download them from http://jonp.tx0.org/ I have several english translations along with greek versions.

Edit: My webhosting has a 100mb quota that I didnt realise, you can also download from:

I really miss my PDA bible software that was from Packard too. I have also emailed them on this. Now just use my reader for the Bible and have a computer software program with bacically the same biblical library collection by WordSearch. **You have to use your PC for these book** but they have a hugh collection and the resources are free ( like Strongs Concordance). You have to install the free sotware called Bible Explorer 1st and then the free books.

As a work around I found several of my favorites in the public domain on Internet Archives which I keep on my reader. Since I like the look of the old fonts I'll typically download the pdf and then use free software to make it easier to read.
