html to kindle

I need to create bilingual book for kindle. I use html files, and Calibre to convert it to MOBI format. When it comes up on the Kindle, the right one or two characters of the right column are not shown. The same files for the Nook (Epub) format come up fine.

I would appreciate any help what can I do either with the html structure recently

<table width=99%>
<tr><td width=50%>text1</td><td>text2</td></tr>
more rows each short enough to fit the screen
</table>

or with the Calibre parameters.

Thanks in advance

don't use tables.

they prevent kindle form reflowing text correctly for all text size options.

So how to make bilingual text readable in kindle variating the text sizes? Latin column and the corresponding English next to it

put one under the other ?

no current generation e-readers will handle twin columns, and preserve variable text size & reflow features

If anyone is interested the nook (with CAlibre Epib) does that.

Let me change the question. Calibre pdf two colums looks fine on Kindle, but only the first seven or eight pages. Any reason why? The pdf is weel readable on adobe.
