Question need help with my pb 360 problem

Hello,
I have bought a pocketbook reader360 and now a couple of months later only half of my screen is working the other half is responsive but as black and gray lines or black color, that dessapears when I turn the device off. The reader works when I want to choose a book or play a game, I believe it is not a software thing but only my screen is the trouble. Could this be only a battery problem? Does my US warranty applies in Europe? What would recomendation be, for me to do?
I found that a few others had this problem but talked about it on a German forum, but since I don't speak German language that doesn't help me much....

Just two questions:

Where did you buy it from? (And where are you?)

Can you provide a picture of the screen? If the lines are regular, it's not the screen; if it's messier, it's the screen (and it's also not under warranty, sorry).

Thanks for the welcome...
I got it in USA from a pocketbookreader.com, the original place in US. And I live in Holland, so that's why my question about warranty. On my warranty it says ''your local service center'' and it doesn't say it is only for the US but I still wondered about it. As for the lines on it, they are straight and if the device is completely charged they don't always show, only like half of the screen is cut off. But the pics I will upload later in the day... I am at work now ...
Somebody told me lately it could be a software thing, and that I should do the firmware upgrade...

I think it would be ok to contact the European centers. But from what you say, it sounds like it's the screen controller or something, and not (necessarily ) a software issue.

It's a covered issue, so don't fret. The screen seems intact, but something must be going south in the screen controller.

As my preposters already said, this is a screen controller thing. It is covered by the warranty, so you're lucky (broken screens are not covered). We have to check with pocketbookreader.com for the repair as I think it would be much easier to get it repaired in Nürnberg, our european central rather than send it to the US. I will be back with you shortly with instructions on what you should do to get your device repaired. Please hang on till tomorrow.
