Nook ???

Hello everyone,

I am from Canada vacationing here in the US. I was planning to buy a kobo when I stumbled upon Nook . The salesperson mentioned that since it was Wi-Fi there would be no problems purchasing books from B&N. I have read through the forums and have worked around Canadian credit cards, etc. Hopefully, when I get back to Canada it won't bar me from purchasing books because of IP address verification.

Also, within these posts some have mentioned that cheaper books are available through:

kobobooks.com
ebooks.com
webscription.com

How do I upload the books to "My B&N Library" so that I can read the book from kobobooks.com without going through their website?

With ebooks.co & webscription.com how do I move the files into my nook?

I am not much of a techie so please be patient. Thanks.

Non B&N books need to be copied to the My Document folder on the Nook, using the USB connection.
For ePub books with Adobe DRM you need to install Adobe Digital Editions on your PC and authorize your Nook within ADE.

The process is called "side loading". You can do a search for it on this forum.

Basically you download the books from ebooks.co and websubcription.com into a folder in your computer. You then attach your Nook to your computer with the supplied USB cable. Using Windows Explorer, you can then copy the books from your computer into your Nook's "my documents" folder. You then use Windows Explorer to "eject" your Nook. Finally you unplug your Nook from the computer.
