Dust - FREE Story on Smashwords

Hi everyone, I just placed my new short story, "Dust" up on Smashwords for free. The description and cover image are below. Please feel free to tell me what you think. Thanks a lot.

Billionaire adventurer Stan Owens has everything, success, fame, all the luxury money can buy... until a plane crash leaves him stranded in the desert. Alone in a hostile environment, he makes a horrifying discovery in the desert wastes. This is a frightening new short story by Robert Williams, the acclaimed author of "Peculiar, MO."

Thank you, once I have read it, I will review as I always do when an author is good enough to offer their story free.

All right, on its second day out "Dust" has so far had 68 downloads and attracted a 4-star and a 5-star review! So far, so good.

"Dust" is at 199 downloads! So far it has two 5-star and two 4-star reviews. Who wants to be number 200?

It was close, SneakySnake. It's at 202 now. You could very well be #200. Thanks for picking it up the story. I hope you like it!

I'm very happy to have another Robert Williams book to add to my collection. I would have bought it if it wasn't free!

I loved "The Storms of Eternity", "Strange Times" and "Peculiar, MO". I'm looking forward to reading "Dust" very much.

Thanks, Robert! You're one of my favourite authors.

So I settled down last night ready for a long reading session with Dust. Half an hour later I'd finished it! It's a great story and it's complete, but it was too short. I really wanted to keep reading.

I'm glad you made the central character so unlikable. I still felt sorry for him, though.

I got shivers when I read about the screws on the ground, as that was a good hint to what was coming. And it did. Horribly.

Thanks, Robert!

I always check the word count, as that'll tell me how long it's going to take me to read...

I'm glad you liked it, cbell! I always love to hear back from my readers.

It is about 6100 words, a short story, for everyone who is interested.
