Issues with news feed in 0.7.1 and 0.7.1beta
I reported the following error in 0.7.1 when searching the news feeds:
ERROR: Unhandled exception: <b>TypeError</b>:search() takes exactly 3 arguments (2 given)

In the beta release (also numbered 0.7.1) that error is gone, and the first search works. However, if I clear the search box calibre hangs and eventually emits the following message:

ERROR:ERROR: Unhandled exception
RuntimeError:maximum recursion depth exceeded in cmp

I'm getting the same thing searching inside the viewer box - on all of the handful of random .epubs I tried it on.
