Returned my Sony Touch

Sorry to say I had to return my Sony Touch. While it excels in certain areas such as being responsive, well thought out navigation, easy dictionary look ups and notes, for me it failed in two important areas.

I just couldn't get pass the slightly fuzzy look of the text and the increased glare from the touch screen. I know both of these are highly subjective areas but they were deal breakers for me personally. I would still highly recommend to anyone looking that they try one out and see if it works for them.

So I returned it and picked up a Nook instead. I find the Nook easier to read on but the menu system on the Sony beats the Nook hands down.

Why oh why oh why did Sony discontinue the 505?

Dear Sony, if you're reading this which I know you aren't because you don't care jack about your customers: Not everybody wants/needs/can use a touchscreen.

The glare was annoying for me too at first, but either I'm used to it or I just got over it. Too bad it didn't work for you I did get an anti-glare screen for my touch but in truth I don't think its made a big difference. Still, there are way too many things I do love about it to give it up.

Can you tell us what brand of anti-glare screen you found for the PRS-600? I just bought one a few days ago and today is the first day out of the house with it ... glare is pretty intense. I've used PDA's for years and still use an HP 210 to read. No glare problems under the same indoor conditions because of the backlighting. Never realized how much of a problem glare could be on a non-backlighted device.
