Calibre 0.6.95?
Got the usual update dialogue that a new version of Calibre is available, but the changelog still shows X.55, and the download link for the windows version isn't working...

Did this get pushed out by accident?
Whats up with the jump from .55 to .95 suddenly?

I think the update message always refers to the latest release in the main trunk - not the latest release in the beta trunk.

If you go to the calibre website and click download, for each of Windows/Mac/Linux the version number is 0.6.95. So there is a major jump from 0.6.55 but the changelog isn't updated. Wonder if this is new the version ie: the beta now officially released, or an issue occurred on their website?

It's a web site issue. If you go to the 'older versions' link (SourceForge) you can download 0.6.55 there.

I just found the same problem and solution.

It seems to be an issue between the site and Calibre itself as Calibre reports that the available version is .95 as well

yeah, the .95 update is a mistake.

The latest version 0.6.55, which you can find at the Sourceforge page.

Had the same problem with the linux version. I just went to Sourceforge and downloaded the bzip file. Then copied it to my empty /opt/calibre/ directory. Then, tar xvfj <filename>. Good as new. 0.6.55
