Thanks, folks. I'm actually still perusing the eReader choices, but I have been playing with Calibre.
I want an eReader because I'm boggled by all the free classic literature out there, but I hate reading on a PC screen, esp when I want to get away from the desk. Even my netbook is a hassle. I imagine it will be nice for traveling, too.

Good to have your company, Dave. There's no shortage of magnificent classics around, of course, but those offered by members here tend to be the tops in terms of presentation in all formats. Some beautiful work. Good luck with your eventual choice of reader. Be sure to check out the *Which One Should I Buy?* thread. Picking a device is very much a matter of horses for courses -- what type of books you'll be reading, geographical location, etc. Cheers. Neil
