Author Sort messed up?
Have I done something wrong while editing the authors of my azw books?
While on my kindle, when I go to Sort by Author, well, it sorts by their first names.... Above Author Sort, in the Author(s) field, was I supposed to put their names backwards? x_X so confused... |

Are you sure it isn't a Kindle thing? The Sony PRS-505 doesn't respect the author sort field at all, so I have the same problem.

Goto preferences->conversion->mobi output and check use author sort as author. Then the MOBI files geenrated by calibre will have their author set to the author sort filed. MOBI does not support author sort metadata at all.
