Page numbering when printing to pdf?

Sorry, I am a noob!

We have an EPUB doc that we want to make into a PDF (really, want to be able to print to paper in the end).

Is there a way to have calibre start numbering on physical page x? Or start with a negative number?

the table of contents of the actual book has page numebrs and we are trying to have them match up in the PDF / printed doc.

Page 1 of the real book doesn't start till physical page 20 or so (table of contents, preface, etc..

I thought I might be able to use another PDF Printer, but the only print that's available in Calibre is print to PDF? OK, I could make a PDF with Calibre without page numbers, then use another pdf printer? Any you can recommend?

I would convert the epub to docx or rtf and manipulate it with a word processor to get the page numbering the way you want it, then create the PDF from there.
