Next Batch of 3G iPads Shipping by May 7th

Apple updated its store today to indicate that new 3G iPad orders will ship by May 7th,

Yes, and also stated that preorders already placed will deliver on April 30. I understand they are already sitting in US warehouses. I suspect the delay is caused by AT&T. They are not known for their speed and probably do not have the account and billing systems set up for the 3G iPad yet since the iPad will use a different billing structure (non-contract) than iPhone. I eagerly await mine next Friday!
