HP shows off its 10-yr concept mockups

If you've ever wondered what gadgets might look like in ten years, you'll love the concept versions (not working models) that HP has presented in London last week.

They are slim, sleek and with awesome displays. You can envision a whole new sort of integration into your life when you see these things. Desktops with displays integrated, cool extendable rollup displays, even the oddball unimaginative little laptop with a great screen but an unusable keyboard.

Predictions have a way of being a bit off, but if we see devices like this in the next ten years, it will be incredibly exciting for gadget lovers.

Eh, 10 years is really not that long. Just 8 years ago I bought a PII-366 laptop from Dell. It basically looks exactly the same as todays laptop. Sure today's are faster, but that's about it. Still a clamshell, still a LCD screen with a keyboard and trackpad on the bottom. Think about how many things in 2001 everyone said was "5 years away", where's all that awesome stuff now?
