Dittobook D9 for technical documents?
How do you guys feel about this one for technical books in PDF format? Would it be the next best thing for PDF books?

I believe its going to be quite good but it's not available yet. it will launch officially in March.e We are waiting for unit to review and decide if we will be selling it in our store. It won't be here for another week or so.
It looks to me that they have the hardware right, its a matter of software and price at the moment. |

Thank you. Please do post some information on it after you receive it. I'm going to need a large screen PDF reader.

Dulin, the man in the know.
Is anyone ( other than skiff/que ) going to produce a device that does native letter or A4 sized devices. Or is it a case that a tablet will always be the best option. |

Of course PocketBook will have a 9.7 inch e-ink reader on sale towards the latter part of this year as well.
Jack Flash- as far as A4/larger format devices I only know of one other possibility which i don't think has been mentioned on this site yet. That's the Delta Electronics reader promised for "2nd quarter" of this year using Bridgestone's epaper. They actually announced 2 readers- an 8 inch black and white model and a 13 inch color model both using Bridgestone's epaper http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...B80024F99D.DTL |

I think for something that large, I'd rather just use an 11.7" netbook tablet as an e-reader.

Any reason to choose one of these larger e-readers over a tablet PC?

Bridgestone's display tech is a refelctive bi-stable epaper called Quick Response- Liquid Powder Display or QR-LPD. Its very similar to the e-ink displays but uses a very fluid powder instead
http://www2.bridgestone-dp.jp/global.../overview.html They are producing it in din A sizes. A3/4/5/7 http://www2.bridgestone-dp.jp/global...velopment.html |
