I was just given a sony ereader for my birthday. I am looking for books to download that are free. found a great link for the classics, but looking for something more current. can anyone help me

Hi sresters & welcome to MR. The link posted by cassidy has a lot of great books edited by MR members. Most of those are classics. Newer books are rarely free, the authors have to live on something. But do check out Smashwords and keep an eye out on this section of the forum.

If you were after recommendations for pirate sites - sorry we can't and won't help you here as this is not supported by MR.

Recent fiction books for free can be found in the posts above.
Non fiction it's easier, because you can find the texts in the net and build the e book yourself (just for your personal use of course) with one of the applications that are available for free. This depends on your ability with the PC. I can give you a couple of links, just as starters.

You might not be interested in what interests me, but I am sure you will find what you like if you look around.
