New Windows Mobile user questions: installing programs.

Where do some of these installed programs go?

I'm enjoying my first Windows Mobile device (was a Palm guy for years until they dropped the ball too many times to count.) I'm learning the ins-and-outs of the operating system and such, and I'm loving the multitasking and power of it. I have a question about installing programs to it though.

I'm a Mac guy and getting programs to the device is challenging sometimes. I use Missing Sync for Windows Mobile and send the CAB files or EXE files to the device where I open them and use the programs. Some programs show up in the "Programs" or "Home" lists, but others don't seem to even though they've been installed from the device. Is there a place that programs that are installed go to that are different than the other place programs go to?

For instance, these programs are installed, but don't show up anywhere:

FoxIt Reader
Macromedia Flash Player
SE_VGA

Am I doing anything differently than an experienced PPC user would do or know?

Thanks everyone who read and has answers. I found out that one has to make a shortcut from the place where the EXE is stored to the Windows-Start Menu-Programs place with File Explorer. Now things are great again.

I'm really loving this device, I wish that Palm could've done something similarly powerful, but alas...

PoL, instead of SE_VGA you should give OzVga a try. It offers more flexibility and works just as well

You only need to make sure you have all the necessary VGA icons for the 640x480 mode.
