What books have you got that you'll probably never read?
We've all done it, bought an item that we have absolutely no intention to use but use it to try and impress guests or someone else. I'm sure I'm not the only person that does it with books

I fear I'll never get through the Forsyte Saga. Or all the MobileReference "Complete Works of ...." I stocked up on when I got my first Kindle. But, I'll never run out of something to read ... ever.

I can't say. The act of actually picking a book that I don't think I'll read will make me take notice of it and, quite probably, read it.
So the book I probably wont read is the one that I forgot I downloaded. ![]() |

~laughing~
Probably about half of the ones that I've downloaded. I am a book packrat - the more the merrier, even if I never get around to reading them. I suppose they're some sort of security blanket; having that world of choices just makes me happy. I think though, that I might actually read some of those books that I "should" read, simply because they already came loaded on my Libre, so I don't have to go to the library or the bookstore to get the physical book, Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" and Melville's "Moby Dick" being two of them. |

The complete(except the last book) Sword of Truth Terry G., hardbacks.
The first 4 books of A Song of Ice and Fire by G. Martin, hardbacks. I am going to try to sell them on eBay. Last edited by astra; 03-04-2010 at 04:07 AM. |
