Best formatting for PDF creation on a mac

Hi all,

I have been having a tough time creating readable and good looking PDF's on the mac.

Can some of you share what software, page size, fonts, margins etc etc you are using? So I can experiment using your settings?

Hi TND, there’s this thread over at the iRex forum where we discussed some strategies for content creation for the iLiad from a Mac.

I have also made a couple of adjustments to the workflow as posted there, if you’re interested I can send you the Automator action.

One more question. Anyone tips or software to modify existing PDF files into illiad size?

As for adjusting existing PDF files, it’s a bit of a pain as far as I know, and the results you’d get would be scaled-down PDF files, which may be unreadable on your iLiad.

One thing you could try is converting the PDF files to HTML (if you have a Gmail account it’s trivial, mail yourself the file and let Google do the convertion for you), then put these HTML files on the iLiad for comfortable viewing, maybe tweaking the margins a bit.

Hey thats a cool idea. Great way to extract content that is locked.

Let me see if it gets the images out as well from the PDF file.
