Greetings

I've been reading ebooks for years, mostly on Palm devices in the good old days, now on an iPod Touch.

Exciting to see ebooks getting more attention these days. My current beef is quality, though. Is anyone else finding that the big publishers are releasing ebook editions that are full of typos and formatting errors? What's that about - aren't these coming from electronic files that are used for the hard copy runs? I guess I am missing something about how books are printed these days.

is there a forum that discusses ebook quality issues like this?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi & welcome to MR. Yes, the quality of eBooks is discussed here - can be in anyone of the subforums. If you want great formated eBooks, check out the forum where MR members have put a lot of time into formatting books for us to download for free.

Welcome to MobileRead, Steve.

Everyone has noticed the issues you speak of. Some, like me, just want the reading experience, and if there are errors, and formatting problems, as long as I can read the book, I can overlook that.

Others feel differently.

Try typing something like "e-book formatting issues on e-books" in our search box (upper right hand corner) and see the may threads out there.

In the meantime, try downloading some of the books avaialable here, formatted by our own members, for a good reading experience.
