Greetings

Hello everyone. I just purchased the PRS-600. I have a lot to learn and look forward to taking advantage of all the info out there for my device.

I will be using it mainly for PDF's which is tricky due to formatting. Right now, I am attempting some techniques for reformatting some of the PDFs. They don't all show up very well.

Anyway, hi!

Hi & welcome to MR. Hope you enjoy your Sony 600.

For formatting text (not sure if it's the right software for what you want) check out Calibre.. It might help you with what you are trying to do.

Otherwise enjoy the forum. Heaps of friendly help and some fun to be had.

Thanks folks. I am taking Kitti's advice and trying out Calibre. It's a neat tool. Go figure that the first thing I want to do with it is try to convert an old PDF Bible into in something usable (ePub). Boy. No TOC. Probably not the first book I should be trying to figure out how to convert. I have to learn some how though.

Welcome to MR, bakura82. I have found the below threads showing bibles that have already been converted. Maybe, one of those will be of help.

Touch Electronic Bible

Free Epub Bibles

Bible, King James Version

KJV Psalms and Proverbs arranged for daily reading

Thanks dream. I wanted to convert my NIV actually. After most of my day, I have become too frustrated too continue. I simply bought a new one from Sony. I am a bit annoyed that Sony sells it for $7 more than B&N, though. That's not cool. If a store has it cheaper on paper, you can always go there and get it. We call that competition. In this case, I don't have a lot of choices. I call that stupid.

I also download the KJV (thrid link) that your provided. That is well organized.

Eventually, I need to figure out how to get all lot of the content I have into my Sony. For instance, I have no idea if my lexicons (Greek and Hebrew) will go into the Sony. I am not even sure the Sony Touch supports those character sets. I have so much to learn...
