Mystery Author - Delurking

Hello Everyone,

My name is Nicola Furlong. I’m a published author from Vancouver Island, Canada and after lurking a while have decided to 'come out'.

I’ve been writing mysteries for years and am delighted to now have a couple available as ebooks ($2.99 US) at a variety of sites, including mobipocket, iTunes app store, amazon kindle, kobobooks and smashwords.

I don’t wish to overdo the blatant self-promotion so I’ll just mention that one of my novels, a dark psychological mystery called A Hemorrhaging of Souls, recently received a terrific review at MyShelf.com where Janie Franz said, “I found the characters charming and complex, and the plot had me chasing every red herring laid in front of me. My jaw even dropped on a couple of occasions. A Hemorrhaging of Souls is a delicious mystery. I love every page of it!”

You may read the full review at http://www.myshelf.com/mystery/09/he...ouls_ebook.htm and find out more about the book via my blog at www.epubbing.com.

Thank you for your kind attention and consideration. Look forward to meeting some of you and hearing about some great new reads. Cheers and thanks for your kind interest.

Hi desertgrandma and rlparker,

Thanks so much for the kind welcome greetings; they are greatly appreciated.

Love your nickname, desertgrandma; must be because I'm a chocoholic.

I see you're reading The Old Curiosity Shop, rlparker. Funny, I just finished listening to an audio version from BBC radio. Enjoy. I'm in the midst of Snow Job by fellow Canadian mystery author, William Deverell. He's always a great read.

Now, back to the Olympics. Cheers!

Nicola

Its easy to confuse some of our words.

Thats "desert" as in HOT, cactus, lizards, Gobi or Sahara.

Not "dessert" as in chocolate...........

Altho I have been known to eat my dessert in the desert......

Hi Nicola

Welcome to MR...

I have put your book in my cart at Smashwords, and will get it next time I get a few purchases collected.

BTW your smashword link was missing a '3' at the end... Here's the correct link:

https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/1083

I prefer to buy through Smashwords rather than Amazon... It saves me $2 per book...

Hi Nicola and good luck with your ebooks!

If you click "User CP" on the left-hand side of the blue bar at the top of this page, your Control Panel will come up. There you can upload an avatar, create a signature, and whatnot, to personalize your posts and let everyone know where to find your work.

Hey,

Just wanted to thank Richard Herley and lene1949 for their kind welcomes and helpful tips!

Richard, I'll get right on my "user cp" stuff and, appreciate the heads up, lene1949 on that faulty URL. Cheers.

Here's hoping for some good weather for the Olympians.

Thanks very much, pshrynk. Extremely kind of you to make the effort.

I've probably blown it big time as I've also put a post on the intro forum. Apologies if I've overdone it; and thanks to happy_terd (love the name) for a 're-welcome'.

Cheers.
