Question Please Help!!!

My nan wants a ebook reader as she is a avid reader and spends a lot on latest books and autobiographys. The problem is I want a good reader to be recommended and also the big question is can and is it possible to download the lastest titles as they come into the shops for free example torrents warez etc.

Appoligies if this is a forbidden subject but this is confusing us as we know you can download free books that our over 100 years old due to copyright expired is this true.

Please Help thanks in advance....

There are plenty of out-of-copyright books (in most countries, any book whose author died before 1939 is currently out of copyright), but we cannot offer any assistance with using illegal material.

If your Nan is not very computer literate, I'd recommend the Amazon Kindle. This allows you to buy books on the device itself, which are send wirelessly to it entirely automatically, without having to use a PC at all.

I imagine which reader you buy will be dependent on what she is comfortable with. If you are just planning on using it for best sellers and such then I would suggest a reader with its own store and established support system. The Kindle and the Sony Reader are both good choices.

The big name ebook readers are simple to use and have a wide variety of ebooks available to them without having to monkey around with possible illegal sites or activities and as HarryT stated, there are plenty of free ebooks available in places like manybooks.net and right here in the ebooks section.

I think where you are located (which country, do you have 3G service, etc.) may influence the suggestions for readers for you.
