Exclamation Login to Kindle 2 via ftp
Hi,

I Just got my Kindle 2 a few days ago.. yay.
So all this is new to me.

I want to be able to login to my Kindle via ftp.

I read this post:

However I don't know how to apply the update, and two It probably needs to be updated for K2.

Anyone, some help?

It's possible that it's no longer compatible with the current firmware.

Hi, Thanks for responding.

After posting I found this: update_usbnetwork-k2.bin
Apparently its better, and for the kindle 2 but I'm having a problem, I'll be very detailed.

I unrar the archive.
I connect my Kindle (It is Drive E.
I copy update_usbnetwork-k2.bin to the root of the kindle.
I disconnect the kindle by going to Windows Xp' tray, and left click disconnect drive E
Then I goto Settings Menu and Update Kindle is Greyed out....
So I reboot and it fails with error 3.

I have a kindle 2.3

Please help me, this is frustrating.
