Question Cyrillic alphabet

Hello,

Today I bought my first PDA -a Palm T5, especially for reading e-books. I already like it very much, but there is a serious drawback - I can't make it show a cyrillic text. This is a problem for me, as two of the four languages I speak use cyrillic alphabet only.
The Palm was bought in Germany, on eBay (unused), and it has localisation options for German, English, French and Spanish (I am using the English). I took a text in Russian and another in English, converted them to .pdb using OpenOfficeOrg 2.0 and installed them on the device. Ereader opens both, and the file in English is O.K., but on the Russian one only question marks are shown instead of letters. Saving the texts as .doc files and opening them with Word To Go didn't show any improvement. I couldn't try it as .pdf, because I have a prolem with the reader (I installed it, but it can't open any files).
Does anybody know a way to read a cyrillic text on the PDA? Maybe using another reader, another conversion method, or both?

I would appreciate any kind of help.

Search for Piloc to localize to another language not listed if you want to use Cyrillic alphabet language as your primary. Make sure you find the latest version as the older ones are not compatible with the non-volatile file system on the T5.

I am not sure if a localisation would help. I want my user interface to remain in English. What I need is correct showing of e-Books written with cyrillic alphabet. Every e-Book format will do as long as I can 1. convert to it (original is .txt) and 2. read it on a Tungsten T5.

iSilo?

I did a quick search on this (I really need to learn more about it myself) and found this:

iSilo documents may not need any special conversion, but do need a couple of converted Windows Cyrillic fonts (?), and cyrhack may also be useful (though perhaps out of date?):

If you did not install cyrrilic localization software (you definitely need it to read cyrrilic e-books), you can try RusHack /successor of CyrHack/ - it works OK on NVFS devices, and requires less resources than PiLoc.

If you still have problem reading cyrrilic texts in Palm .doc format - let us know
