Kindle 3g
Can someone tell me if the Cellular interface in the Kindle only works in 3g or does it work on the regular cell phone network if there is no 3g available ?
So if I am way out in Kansas like Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ and all I have is basic cell phone service and I order and download books ? |

It works on both, tries 3G and then defaults back to regular cell service if not available.

You can still download books to your PC, and transfer to the Kindle via USB even if you have no cellular coverage at all.
