iRex iLiad invites for every MobileReader from the US

Hot on the heels of yesterday's announcement that iRex has started to give out invites to our European readers, we're happy to inform you that now they've also agreed to hand out invites to our fellow readers from the US. The procedure is the same:
  1. In this thread, you simply state that you acknowledge the fact that the development of the iRex iLiad isn't finished yet, and that you know that its software is still being developed before it can be considered as fully functional as advertised. Please don't forget this step!
  2. You then send me your email address and a short note that you're a US citizen via private message.
  3. I'll compile a list and send it to iRex. Your invites should arrive soon after.

Again, I'm not working for iRex nor do I get paid; I'm doing this in my own free time. Let's try to keep this thread uncluttered.

We sell ebooks so I'd love to get a jump on new readers.

I just sent the first batch of email adresses to iRex.
Unfortunately not all those who sent a PM also acknowledged the terms here (some did it by PM which is OK, but I prefer to have it all here...).
I sent out all email adresses up to raevyn1 today, despite the fact that some acknowledgments are still missing...I hope they'll be added soon...
The next batch will follow sometime tomorrow.

Please follow the procedure.

Thanks.

Dear Commander ROR,
Please forgive my neophyte confusion - I've just joined the list and was unsure how to reply to a thread so mistakenly sent you an ICQ message.
I live in the UK and should like to receive an invitation to purchase an Iliad Reader. I appreciate that the model just released does not have the functionality of the consumer model, due to be released later this year.
Thank you for your initiative in discovering the availiability and your willingness to act as a "conduit" for interested members. I've been keen on ebooks since owning the Rocket Ebook, and now am a very satisfied owner of a cybook. However, I've also been eagerly awaiting a European e-ink device since learning of the Sony Librie.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Angus McPherson
