New Sony user from cold NH!

Hi! I finally talked my husband into getting me an e-reader last weekend, to make it easier to read while at the gym (makes the elliptical & treadmill time go by much faster!). After *not* getting a Kindle for Christmas (not due to lack of hints, I assure you) he did his own research and found out about Sony Readers. We picked one up last Saturday. It is proving to be an interesting journey; I have learned new software, converted some books I had already purchased (I'm running Kindle for PC and Kindle for iPhone already), found new forums, etc. I still have lots of reading to do on this forum, but in three days I'm up to 96 books - mostly freebies, but I am also a huge fan of Star Trek & Star Wars. I'm loving the free classics and history books!

We ended up getting a Sony PRC-600, as well as a cover (and a $25 gift card to get started!) I'm having an absolute blast! Thanks for the wonderful site, and thanks to all the helpful people who spend time here!

When I'm not playing with technology (was a sysadmin/programmer before I became a stay-at-home mom 10 yrs ago), I do knitting, spinning and quilting, among other things. DH and I have 3 kids (2 still at home) and a small farm - 4 dogs, 3 house cats & 2 barn cats, about 2-1/2 dozen chickens, 2 dairy goats, 3 alpacas, and 2 angora bunnies.
