Possible problem with 1.5?
In the past week my upgrade Cybook G3 has three times skipped back to library view and displayed a ? next to what looks like an empty battery.
In each case I was on the last few pages of the book. The first time I though "Flat battery" so charged my Cybook completely. The second time I charged it for 15 minutes so I could finish the book. The third time I pressed the reset button and it came back with 90% battery. In every case, upon re-opening the book, it opened at about 25% read, according to the progress bar. Different book every time. On another thread I said I was happy. Not now. What is going on? I never had this problem before the upgrade. Anyone else experiencing a similar problem? |

I've never seen gen3 displaing anything but x% for batery metter. I would guess the ? mean the it can't get battery state, maybe your batery is reaching end of life.
Contact bookeen, they can probably point out the source of the problem better than I can. Quote:

But for your problem, MultiReader, I think of a corrupted file. |

It happend to me once that position in books was not remembered. This was due to a corrupted file system - so the Cybook did not have write access to it anymore. (Back then, I unplugged without safe remove, so I guess this was the source of the problem.)
Do you mean something similar with yours? (sorry, I could not entirely interpret your problem ^_^' ) |

Corrupted file
Maybe I didn't explain the problem very well.
3 different books. Same problem. At some point near the end of the book my Cybook reverts back to the library and freezes. On performing a reset and re-opening the book it does not open where I left off. I can't remember the extension of the file that keeps track of your reading history for each book, but it doesn't look as though it's updating. I think the 'corrupted file' suggestion might be valid, but not any of my book files. It's more likely to be one of the V1.5 firmware files. I'll re-load and see if that solves the problem. |

I have a similar problem. On turning a page, the Cybook suddenly reverts to the library page. This has happened 3 or 4 times in the last few days. One time it actually went back all the way to the start screen. I have perhaps about 600 books on a SD card and was very happy with the new folder view which lets me get to any title very quickly but this...
Oh, by the way, one time when I was reading a page, the Cybook went back to the startup screen without me touching anything. |

font size change not working
Hi,
Does anyone have a clue to why the + - buttons don't work for changing the font size ? (fw 1.5) Thanks, Jan |

Yes. They won't work when the device is sleeping.

And the device goes to sleep just a few moments after pressing any button.
So: you press any button and before 1-2 seconds, you press the +/- buttons. Either press +/- immediately after turning a page, or call the menu (center button), dismiss it (left or right) and then press +/-. By the way, this is apparently an issue of the oldest 64MB model, and it's a hardware thing. |

Thanks Jellby for all that info. Two thing I have learnt tonight 1. How to turn off a menu without activating any item, and 2. How to use the + and - buttons to change font size. You'd think that Bookeen would put it in their manual.
