Sonystyle website now lists the PRS 900 as in stock and shipping tomorrow.

I ordered on1/12 with expected shipping date of 1/15 and was pleasantly surprised a moment ago to see it should ship today. I know it's only 1 day but still, better luck than the nook folks are having, no?

i wonder if 'processing' even means anything....i'm guessing ship dates don't mean anything at all....been processing since yesterday.

hi guys,

i ordered mine a few days ago (despite the 'backordered' notice), and it shipped same day, and just got it today. so it's definitely in stock.

Now if I can just order the thing! I still can't navigate to the campus store, and when I call the regular "shop by phone" line, they ask me if I'm registered as an academic through the Campus Store. Uh, no, I can't get there. Got shunted to somebody's VM. Another somebody was supposed to have called me back today, so I'm not hopeful this new somebody will call me back tomorrow. I have the day off tomorrow, so at least I have leisure time to raise Caine

i'd eat the discount and just order it....that's what some who got one from Best Buy are doing.

I ordered yesterday, the 13th. They said it would ship today, but, when I go to the order status, "processing". I called Sony and was told "don't worry, it probably went out today and it sometimes takes 24 hours to get to the website". I guess I'll find out tomorrow. If it didn't ship, I'll cancel and try again another time.

there's hope...mine shipped last night (ordered 13th)...sonystyle seems to be all about timing...if you wait until it says in stock you're golden...and realizing that they don't update their website very often.

I've got one on order at Best Buy and the date keeps getting moved - I was just told now that it might not be until the 5th of Feb. I'm seriously thinking of canceling the order and placing it with Sony, even if it is on back order there, they are at least shipping on the dates they give.

this is the 3rd reader i've bought through the sony site....their updating procedures are the only thing flaky....luckily my device shipped from illinois so the 5-7 day shouldn't be long to ohio.
