I am having major problems,i cant transfer my books to my reader. It says that it is registered to another user or something similar. Is there any other software that i could download and use instead on the sony library?

Thanks

Yea, ummm, Calibre

I only say it like that because it has been mentioned in the last many posts about people having problems with Sony's software.

Learn it, live it, Love It!!!

Happy Reading....

Also, if the book is in a format 300 can view natively and it is not DRM's, you can just drag and drop it into the drive that gets created on your PC when you plug in the usb cord.

X:\database\media\books (X will be the new drive letter) This is where the books go on my 300

A big +1 for Calibre..... and if you want you can just drag and drop books on your reader without any extra software. If you look in "My Computer" you will see your Sony there as a disk drive....just drop your correctly formatted books into the database/media/books directory.....

As far as the authorization issue.... be sure you have Adobe Digital Editions installed and your computer and reader authorized in it. I don't mess with it because I strip all DRM from a book as soon as I get it.... so if you have any questions on how to authorize someone here will know the answer.....

You need the ID that was used to download the books. If you re-register yo are considered a different user for those books, hence not opening. Can you get your original ID back?

Take a look at Calibre, it will recognize the reader and transfers the books as well. It also allows you to edit the data and collections for sorting also.

Glad it worked out for you.
