Hi
shelia of texas here,
my kids gave me a Kindle 2 for Christmas. I've been reading ebooks very successfully on my Pocket PC for years. Not sure about no color and no backlight, but not looking gift horse in the mouth. Any suggestions re lighting solutions. I'm gonna miss reading in bed!

Hi shelia and welcome to MobileRead. Like you I started reading on an iPaq years ago and liked it fine. But, once I got my hands on an eInk device, I never looked back. There are plenty of clip on lights that work fine.

Thanks guys for the welcome. I received my Mighty Brite on Monday, uploaded a book and was able to read in bed last night without waking DH.
