Hello
Hi there,
I'm an avid SF/Fantasy book reader and collector. It's currently costing me about £700 a year to keep my collection in storage ! So - I'm wondering whether I should move to e-books. Of course, it would be a shame to get rid of a collection I've built up over the years - but, convenience and economics might force a decision. Anyway - I shall start reading here to see what devices are like and what availability there is for replacing my collection. All pointers / suggestions gratefully received. All the best Richard |

Hi Richard, welcome to MobileRead.
Some years ago i decided to move to eBooks based on very similiar reasons: too much books, too many bookshelves, too less free space left, never enough books in the luggage while travelling. But even after the move to ebooks i've kept all my "old" paperbooks (to the great displeasure of my wife ![]() |

Welcome to MobileRead, Richard.
Tell us who your favorite authors are. We might be able to point you to ebook availability. Check out our ebook section for thousands of books already formatted and ready to go free for the downloading.....you don't even need a device to read them. Good luck with your choice. |

Thank you for the welcomes.
I guess the stuff that's on here is all public domain. Where's a good place to start getting an idea about what's out there to read and what device I might need to read it? Also - if I wanted to replace my library, would I effectively burn it all onto discs / DVDs? Sorry if this isn't the right place to start asking questions. Cheers Richard |

Hi Richard and welcome to MobileRead. I had way to many books around the place so switched to an ebook reader and have been very pleased. Really handy on travel
