Unhappy SunriseXP - 100% processor while processing feed

Hi Laurens,

First of all, many many thanks for the wonderful Sunrise application, probably my favourite Palm add on - the one I install first for a new Palm or after a hard reset.

I occasionally have a problem syncing, when SunriseXP is parsing feeds, and gets 'stuck' on a particular feed, and goes to 100% of processor usage. A concrete example today:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/Wonderland

The feed is set to link depth 1, and it's getting stuck at 19%. I'm using SunriseXP v. 2.0 beta 9h on Windows XP SP2, with a Palm TX, with HotSync Manager 6.01.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Matthew

P.S. I miss the feature in Sunrise, where you could drill down to the detail of the individual links as they were being processed, especially for the help it gave in a situation like this, but worth repeating, this is a minor detail in a tremendously useful application.

There are still some lingering multithreading bugs, as evidenced by the problems you encounter. Problem with threading bugs is that individual cases are not reproducible, since they depend on relative timing differences, which are infinitely different across different configurations and under different circumstances. (The feed you mentioned happens to run fine here.) The only way to fix threading issues is to review the code exhaustively, which is an incredibly time-consuming process. Unfortunately, I will not be able to get to this anytime soon (if ever).

No worries Lauren - not a frequent problem. Thanks again for the terrific app.
