Hi All. I have just purchased a Kindle and am trying to find out about downloading to my computer and transferring to my Kindle. I understand I need a USB cable. I already have 2 USB cables - one for my digital camera and one for my MP3 player. Are these cables ok for use with a Kindle? Thanks.

PS.......when you do connect to your computer, be sure and put the books into the "documents" folder, NOT the 'e-books" folder.......

Thanks. I have a K2 and the only cord that came with it is the power cord to charge the Kindle.

From the Kindle quick start guide.
"Charge your Kindle by plugging it into a U.S.-compatible electrical outlet. You can also detach the USB cord from the power adapter* and connect it to a computer to charge your Kindle or to transfer data." Do you have the quick start guide? There should be a users guide loaded onto your kindle also. Here is a link to them online.........download the pdf versions to your computer. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...deId=200317150 |
