I hope some one will find me right here as I have sth interesting to share. I have played with my W1060 for one week and it does nice job on video, internet, now and finally--------EBook/PDF Reader
![]() http://www.wirelession.com/products_...?cid=100&id=79 after the download there are three files inside the rar file package: W1060 FW update instruction W1060-TF upgrade tool FW W1060 V1.8d_W2_A_buy before Dec 2009 i have done the installation according to the instruciton, it is very simple just take several minitues. it feel much nicer as EBook reader to have this rotate display as i like to reader PDF with it. It is a 7 inch colorful EBook for me now ![]() it looks only for the W1060 bought before Dec 2009 so i think if buy after Dec 2009, there will be a new version with sth new. it is in size 25M and take some time to complete the download! |

Digitbee,
How long did the actual upgrade process take? Mine is taking longer than the 3-5 minutes stated in the instructions. 10 min and still going. Dean |

Hi Dean,
For my try it only took 3~5 minutes actually, i just simply follow the instruction, and after 3~5 mnutes like, the interface come to a calibration setting, click upon the "+" symbol, and final click on any where of the display i enter the main window, that is it, inside the main window there is one icon it is named and for "SreenRotate". you can not miss it, have a try and enjoy ![]() but we need to follow the W1060 upgrade instruction exactly also i found the W1060 there is update manual seems update days before: http://www.wirelession.com/W1060%20M...r%20Manual.pdf |

I had problems with my firmware update, but it was only a matter of misunderstood directions. It only takes 3-5 minutes for me and I've gone back to my original and back to newer firmware many times in my tests.
I will expand upon the directions that WireLession has provided: 1. Charge your battery up to full for best results - at no time during my flash did I take out the battery. 2. Be sure to format the SD card with the utility provided with the download. Make sure you format the card with FAT32. 3. Before you do anything else, copy the MLO file to the SD card, alone. 4. Copy the EBOOTSD.nb0 file to the SD card. 5. Copy the nandboot.raw and NK.bin files to the SD card. 6. With the device OFF, insert the SD card with the firmware files on it. 7. There is a SMALL HOLE above the USB OTG port. Inside is a little button that resets the device. It is also used to update the device. Use a paperclip, or thin object that can fit into the hole easily and use the object to HOLD THE RESET BUTTON DOWN. Don't let go (you can actually feel the button press - before you try any of this try pressing the reset button yourself a few times - with the power off - to get the feel for it). 8. Press the Power button on the top of the device and HOLD IT. 9. In the top right of the screen, and scrolling down from there, you will see messages begin to display indicating that the firmware has begun to flash. REMOVE THE OBJECT FROM THE RESET BUTTON HOLE AND REMOVE YOUR FINGER FROM THE POWER BUTTON. You will see it copy the firmware and do all it needs to do and that should do it. Let me know if you have any other questions. Last edited by ColdSun; 12-07-2009 at 10:52 PM. |
