USAtoday video on Kindle

I found this video, but I'm not sure of the date. It seems recent,because the announcer speaks of it as a "holiday gift".

First, they talk about "several" versions available. I'm only aware of 3.

Then, the lady they chose to use it is demo-ing the K1!

They make no mention of the thousands of free books available.

They refer to the kindle for pc as a place to put your books "after you've finished with them"

I just don't know who does these pieces.......

What the heck? At the end the guy says "They're just a few months away from releasing their THIRD version".

Okay...so wasn't the DX the third version? Does this guy have some sort of inside info we don't have on a 3rd non-DX version? Is he just guessing?

That was my question also........which I why I was wondering when this was made. It did say "great seasonal gift" but I'm wondering if this was made last year, especially showing the K1........

Yes, this is old, last year. The 3rd version is the DX.

Because USA Today (indeed, all of Ganett Publishing) is in financial melt down.

Likely this was current at the time of one of the large rounds of layoffs, and the new people in charge of the website don't have a handle on what they are doing yet.

Ganett Blog chronicled the decline of the publishing house and the inexorable toll of the layoffs for the remaining employees for a long time, but ceased updating at the end of this summer.
