Organzing books

I have used Calibre to add a lot of metadata to my epub files (since I have several series of books on my EZ Reader) but, when they are loaded on the SD card, they don't sort in order in the series. Is there a way to make sure they are listed in series order on the reader?

My gripe also
It gets worse.
Some books in a series have Multiple and or Different Author(combinations) .
(Try Baen: Weber's Honorverse , or Eric Flint )

If you make the correct advanced settings in Calibre and ONLY use the Save to Disk mode (the PEz+SD card are also disks to the O/S. I Even named the drive "PEz" and "Books1",respectivly) , you can set: Author, Series,series_index,Title filing.

Has anyone found a way to create File-Directory "Links" on the PEz so you could file the book under the first Author name and have links in each of the co-Authors folder that still bring up the book if chosen?

Found I had the same problem. But that might be due to my ignorance with Calibre. Even the adding of the series and the series number didn't help.

Now I just add the number in the title . Not ideal but it works for me.

You need to do that first, Then you deed to set the saving option:
Code:
{author_sort}/{series}/{series_index}-{title}/{title}
When you use Save To Disk, you will get this directory structure.
Edit:
BTW No series needs to be assigned under "00None" (so the series sorts before others).
or do it with a separate save specification that leave out series and forces the first level folder, by using a "Literal" path. (it seems to be easy to switch in preference, once you have saved it)

I use Save to Disk to put books from Calibre onto my PP.

This expression puts the series in the author folder and adds the series number to the beginning of each book. Calibre is smart enough to recognize when the series folder already exists and puts new books in the series into that folder. If there is no series information, this expression will put the title directly into the author folder.

{author_sort}/{series}/{series_index} - {title}

Go to Preferences, Add/Save and you'll see where you can modify the expressions.

{authors}/{series}/{series_index:0>2s}. {title}

I use this as the the books dont sort properly if there are more than 10 in series
you can also use
{authors}/{series}/{series_index:0>3s}. {title}
if you have more than hundred book in a series
