Question Buying PRS-505 in europe

Could you recommend some good online store in europe (european union) which sells PRS-505 for reasonable price and doesn't require paypal?

Most larger places have regional restrictions, was it released in your country?

I believe this one has them still; from what I could gather it didn't mind the PRS wasn't officially released in my country (although there was a couple of online shops offering it) and it offers overseas shipping.

Nope, it wasn't released here. The only e-ink reader here is Hanlin V3 which imho is chinese piece of crap. Anyway, what do you mean by regional restrictions? It's not like I am buying Kindle or from US.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's a bit too pricey for me. I am thinking about 230eur or 200gbp as max price.

You're welcome- also, why not to try eBay, the seller could accept wire transfert

Some devices may not be sold (officially) to other countries. So, you'll need to find a store that doesn't follow those restrictions, or head to EBay, where those restrictions are generally ignored.

For example, bol.com (Dutch online book site) will sell to all countries in Europe, but won't ship the new 300 and 600 outside the country.

Unfortunately John Lewis doesn't ship outside UK at all and play.com only ships DVDs, music, games, books and clothing outside UK

Any other suggestions?

Well, if I won't find anything else, I guess, I'll have to take a look at ebay.

The prices there are just outrageous, plus currently they don't have anything in stock anyway...

Prices include VAT so you should subtract it. Not sure how much is that, percentage-vise...

In this case, (prs-505) VAT is 50eur. That said, the device without VAT still costs 50eur more than at advancedmp3players.co.uk (the site Juliette suggested).

I am not sure, but I think you cannot detract VAT if you're inside the EU... unless you plan leaving the EU for more than 12 months. These are the rules for the UK, but I've seen similar boundaries last time I visited the customer service area of a luxury department store.

I think perhaps he/she lives outside the EU boundaries...
