can PRS350 be hacked like T1?
I just bought the prs350 for it's size, I wonder if it can be hacked as readily as the T1 to run various Android apps?
Thanks. |

FinancialWar,
Sony PRS reader before T1 are not android based, but running montavista linux and the kinoma FSK-framework. So rooting and running various Android apps isn't possible for your 350. But you might like to have a look on PRS+ (a firmware addon for older Sony E-Reader, look in the sticky section of the dev-sub-forum) HTH Mark |

I need to run a particular Android app, if 350 is not possible to run it. I'll just keep it as a simple novel reader.
Thanks. |

PRS+ doesn't change it from a simple novel reader. It mostly gives you some additional tweaks (like being able to search for books in a folder view).

I highly recommend checking out PRS+ for your 350, even if you're only going to use it for reading. Very simple to install and adds tons of options to the base firmware of the 350.

sorry to dig up my old thread. But I just realised that my PRS350 does not have dictionary function?

Just it does have dictionary.
How can I use it? I remember in T1, I just have to press and hold the word and the word would come up, but it does not work on the PRS 350. |

You don't press and hold, instead double tap on the word to bring up the dictionary definition.
