Using eBook Store overseas

Hello there. I currently own a PRS-700. I am from Canada, which does support the Sony book store, but I am currently living in Japan, which does not. I do know that when I first purchased my e-reader I could buy books off the store, however when I try to do so now, it says my credit card is no longer registered.

Furthermore, when I try to re-register my card it gives me a message that I am sending information overseas and therefore cannot do so.

Furthermore, when I got my brother to download and register my card from Canada, it still didn't show up on my computer here.

Any ideas as to what I can do? Does anyone know how I can get around this rather annoying problem?

Have your brother buy and send you Sony gift cards.
