Munging unicode author names

Hey,
I generated a EPUB file with sigil and the author has a name that only appears well in Unicode (Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh).
When imported into calibre 0.6.21 linux x64 (see screenshot) I end up with Muhammad ibn â€˜AbdullÄh (i.e. it's munged).

That's odd, does Sigil not produce UTF-8 output?

Here, judge for yourself - attached a sample epub file, contents Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh, title Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh, author Muhammad ibn ‘Abdullāh

Just tested that sample file and it doesn't mung. Strange, inconsistant behaviour.
